Singer-songwriters Mary Chapin Carpenter and Shawn Colvin perform together as the Clay Center hosts Mountain Stage with Larry Groce at May 19 in Charleston.

Doo-wop harmonies, R & B and classic rock and roll from the '50s, '60s and '70s will on the playlist at 8 p.m. Oct. 27. The occasion is a performance by The Fabulous Hubcaps, sponsored by The Foundation of Mon General Hospital, in the Hazel and J.W. Ruby Community Center at Mylan Park.

The Fabulous Hubcaps from Washington, D.C., are considered one of the top oldies show bands around. Entertaining for more than 35 years, event organizers say the band features high-energy tributes to Elvis, Rod Stewart, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Beach Boys and James Brown.

Proceeds will benefit "The Commitment Continues …" capital campaign at the hospital. Those attending may bring their own food and beverage.

The venue is situated at 500 Mylan Park Lane, two miles from I-79 exit 155.
