Republicans from throughout West Virginia gathered for the sold-out fundraising dinner dubbed the "Freedom Dinner," Oct. 25 in Charleston.

Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus spoke to attendees about how to help the entire WV GOP team win the election.

"We truly have an opportunity in 12 days to change the course of our nation, from debt and socialism to freedom and prosperity," West Virginia Republican Chairman Conrad Lucas said in a news release. "Our votes to send Mitt Romney to Washington, new Republicans like John Raese and Rick Snuffer to Congress and fill our own state Capitol with leaders from Bill Maloney all the way through the ballot will ensure freedom in the Mountain State."

The West Virginia Democratic Party's statewide fundraiser, the Jefferson-Jackson Dinner, will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 27 in Charleston. Its keynote speaker will be former Congressman and House Democratic Leader Dick Gephardt of Missouri.
