    Grant County’s Spring Mountain Festival has a new venue. Typically hosted at Petersburg City Park, the 22nd annual Spring Mountain Festival will be at the Tri-County Fairgrounds. The festival takes place April 25-27 and will again feature bands, artisans, crafters, food and various other vendors.

Haunted Parkersburg Ghost Tours will take place Nov. 2-3, starting at the Blennerhassett Hotel in downtown Parkersburg.

Participants will stroll over the quaint streets of Parkersburg, covering its haunted history and famous paranormal tales. Listen as the tour guides share stories of the Banshee of Marrtown, the East End Ghoul, tales of the Mothman, the Men in Black and the Nov. 2, 1966 appearance of the alien Indrid Cold one mile south of the city limits of Parkersburg.

See actual places possessed by spirits, haunted houses along the route and pass by a haunted graveyard to hear of tales from within. Listen to famous accounts of railroad ghosts, Civil War spirits, Island haunts, and various supernatural stories unique to Parkersburg.

The ghost tour takes approximately two hours and the walk is less than two miles. Regularly scheduled tours begin at 7:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Blennerhassett Hotel.
