The Sleeth Gallery at West Virginia Wesleyan College will present an exhibition of local, national and international works, curated by Ellen Mueller, assistant professor of art, Nov. 6-15.

Mueller began 17 Tips as an open-source project in response to Brooklyn-based artist William Powhida's work, Tips for Artists Who Want to Sell (New and Unimproved) (2010). Over the course of 17 weeks, artists were given a weekly prompt based on one of Powhida's original tips, culminating in a catalog and curated exhibition. The works included in the 17 Tips Project are diverse in media, including traditional 2D and 3D media, internet art, animated GIFs and video.

An opening reception will be at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 8 in the Sleeth Gallery.

Warning: this exhibition contains subject matter that some may not find suitable for all ages.

The gallery is open Monday – Friday, 12 p.m.-5 p.m. (or by appointment). The gallery is located on the first floor of McCuskey Hall. Admission is free.
