ELKINS (AP) — The Durbin & Greenbrier Valley Railroad's "Polar Express" holiday train is ready to roll.

The first train departs on Friday from the Elkins depot. This year, 41 trips are scheduled through Dec. 15.

More than 9,800 tickets have been sold and all trips are sold out.

Last year nearly 5,900 tickets were purchased for 26 trips.
