A $500 fine and up to a year in jail, that's the penalty that 14-year-old Jared Marcum, who was arrested after refusing to change his NRA shirt, could face, now that a judge has allowed the prosecution to move forward with it's obstructing an officer charge against him.
Kentucky State Police are investigating a drug bust that happened Nov. 6 on I-75 near Richmond.
According to police, around 3:00 p.m., a routine traffic stop took an unlikely turn when they found three men in the cab of a pickup truck, drug paraphernalia, and $24,110 in cash. The men stated that the money was not theirs and it was turned over to State Police.
The men claimed they were on their way to Lexington, KY from Harlan, KY, to catch a bus to Detroit, MI.
The driver was arrested for DUI and a passenger was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
