Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting that left one Kentucky man dead in the Beechburg area of Fleming County yesterday.
While responding to a domestic disturbance call, Fleming County Sheriff's Department and Kentucky State Police, officers were confronted by James Hay, armed with a firearm.
Officers pleaded with Hay for approximately an hour to put down his weapon. Hay refused to comply and threatened the officers with the firearm and was shot.
An autopsy is scheduled in Frankfort, KY.
The incident remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
