West Virginia State University students received an education on the real world on Tuesday, Nov. 13.

It was part of the 4th annual College of Professional Studies Convocation. Business leaders in the Kanawha Valley conducted mock interviews and then gave constructive feedback on what went well and which areas they should work to improve.

The goal is to help students prepare for life after college. "You learn so much, even things you never expected were important in an interview. One of them is knowing what you are doing and paying attention to your self," said Bobbie Spry, a WVSU Communications student.

In addition to the session on job interviews, students were also able to attend sessions on resume writing and graduate school.
