Kroger has awarded a local high school student with a $1,000 scholarship.
Jenna Turner, of Chapmanville, WV, will be going to Marshall University in the fall. Her brother received a Kroger Scholarship in 2005. Their mother, Judith Turner, works at the Kroger store in Danville, WV.
Since the program began in 2007, 1,520 students have received scholarships valued at $1,000 each. Of those students, 72 were awarded to children of associates in the Mid-Atlantic region.
