Jeremy Huff is a senior and a football player at Winfield High School.
He shared his inspirational story on Wednesday evening with the congregation of the Teays Valley Church of God in Scott Depot.
Doctors told the teen he had stage four Medulloblastoma, a form of brain cancer. Jeremy underwent surgery and numerous radiation treatments. Now, after 13 months, Jeremy has been declared cancer free.
"When I first found out I was scared to death. I heard a voice in my head. I've got this. I believed that. If you been having a bad day, it could always be worse. The thing is to keep positive and keep the faith in the Lord," said Huff.
Jeremy is helping to coach a youth basketball team in Putnam County in addition to his football responsibilities at Winfield High School.
