Being more conscious
about the environment was the message at a event in Charleston Wednesday evening by
the group "WV350 Reversing Climate Change".
They called the event a
"Planet Protecting Potluck".
There were displays on
renewable resources, energy efficiency, and climate change.
The
group told 13NEWS it's undeniable that humans are having a "terrible impact" on our
environment.
One organizer, Robin
Wilson, said, "We need policy that gives incentives for reducing carbon dioxide. That's going to involve some
transitions. The other one is personal
choices and community choices. Communities
can lower their carbon footprint.
The
group says Hurricane Sandy is a perfect example of the changing climate.
