Some children will be warm this winter thanks to a group of helpful students.
A group of Chesapeake High School students partnered with the United Way to help get coats and gloves for others who would go without.
Today students got a check for the Big Cover Up project for $1,500.
The project matches money raised by students to help buy coats, hats and gloves for underprivileged children.
Students say they want to help children stay warm by giving back to their community.
The United Way also gave checks to other schools in the area.
