A woman on Huntington's south side had a close encounter with a man who walked right up to the door of the home she was watching and insisted that he had to come inside to fix something, according to police.

A woman's body is now being examined by a coroner after being found in a creek in Scioto County.

A Kanawha County business asked for some help from school kids to send a Thanksgiving message and one school really stepped up.
Suttle & Stalnaker is an accounting firm. It enlisted the help to create a Thanksgiving card to distribute to clients.
Ashlyn Bell, a fourth grade student at Piedmont Elementary, won first prize.
"I was happy. I didn't Know I was going to win and I was surprised," said Bell.
She said she thought about her family and how much she loved them while she drawing her card. This is the 11th year that Suttle & Stalnaker have held the contest.
Her picture will be sent out to 1,000 of the firm's customers.
Bell, along with the runners-up, got a new back pack of art supplies as a reward.
