Fire crews were called out to a brush fire on Monday evening in the Belle area of Kanawha County.

The first reports came in at about 5:15 p.m. according to dispatchers. The fire covered approximately two acres when emergency crews were notified. No one was hurt, and crews worked to keep the fire from spreading to any homes or businesses nearby.

It's the latest in a series of brush fires that have sparked in the past week. Conditions are dry and rain isn't in the forecast until sometime toward the end of the week, according to WOWK 13News Chief Stormtracker Meteorologist Spencer Adkins.
