With all of the hype surrounding Black Friday, Governor Earl Ray Tomblin is encouraging people to remember Small Business Saturday.
Scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 24, Small Business Saturday is a chance for shoppers to support local businesses.
Tomblin said more than 96 percent of the state's employers are small businesses.
"These entrepreneurs work alongside their dedicated employees to offer customers from near and far unique products and personalized service," Tomblin said in a press release.
This marks the third year of the event that towns and cities across the country celebrate.
