The man accused of attacking a pastor during a daytime burglary is now behind bars.
Police arrested Charles Galloway Saturday and charged him with Malicious assault, daytime burglary and fleeing on foot.
Police say pastor and his wife came home and noticed the family dog acting strange. When the pastor went upstairs, he was confronted by an intruder. The intruder is accused of hitting him in the face multiple times with a baseball bat and then running from the home.
The pastor was transported to Charleston General.
Galloway is being held on a $25,000 cash only bond.
