Firefighters from Pinch and Frame worked with the community to get a brush fire under control as it spread through about 20 acres on Hurricane Road off of Frame Road.

There were 3 homes in danger as the fire spread which is why firefighters focused their efforts on protecting those homes and containing the blaze to one side of the hill. A family living in the area said their daughter was outside playing with matches and accidentally sparked the fire.

Firefighters were able to bring that blaze under control before any homes were damaged and no one was injured.

But firefighters are issuing a warning saying that because it is so dry right now any outdoor burning can be very dangerous.
