    CHARLESTON, WV — West Virginia's Division of Culture and History will celebrate the traditional music of West Virginia on Memorial Day weekend, May 24-25, at the Culture Center during the 37th annual Vandalia Gathering. The family-friendly event is free.

Performances by the Children's Choir, the Glenville State College Bluegrass Band and holiday storytelling by the fireplace are part of the traditional Christmas weekend Nov. 30 – Dec. 2 at Stonewall Resort in Lewis County.

Hours on Nov. 30 are 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. At noon on Dec. 1, the Glenville State College Bluegrass Band will perform in the Grand Hall followed by a Holiday Wreath Workshop and an 1890s Christmas Rope Making machine demonstration/activity.

In the evening, the GSC Bluegrass Band will perform again, and Father Christmas will be making a special appearance around 7 p.m. to do some holiday storytelling in the Grand Hall. Hours are 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
