Man enters plea in slaying case

Posted: Updated:

1 of 4 people charged with being involved in the slaying of an eastern Kentucky man has pleaded guilty.

The Middlesboro Daily News reports Jeremiah Evans entered the plea this week to criminal facilitation, just as he and three others were scheduled to go on trial in the slaying of William Taylor of Frakes, which is in Bell County.

According to the agreement, Evans knew what the other suspects were planning and took them to and from Taylor's home.

The newspaper reports that Taylor was brutally attacked during a robbery, but was able to walk to a neighbor's home for help afterward. However, he succumbed to his injuries a week later while at a hospital.

The trial for the others was postponed until January.
