BECKLEY, WV -

Brenda G. Hambric is the director of the new occupational therapy assistant program under development at New River Community and Technical College. She will be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum for the program, which will begin accepting students next fall, pending approval from accrediting agencies. 

Hambric comes to New River from Total Home Health Care in Princeton, where she was director of rehabilitation and staff therapist. She has extensive experience as an occupational therapist and served as fieldwork coordinator and instructor in the OTA program at Mountain State University from 2003-06.

Hambric earned an associate degree in occupational therapy assistant from the College of West Virginia and a master's degree in occupational therapy from West Virginia University.
