The final six teams still standing are on the road to Wheeling. The Wayne Pioneers literally hit the road Thursday evening. The team and cheerleaders packed up their gear and hopped on buses for the four hour drive up north. There were plenty of friends and family there to send them off as Wayne gets ready for number 2 Keyser tomorrow. The Pioneers are looking for a second straight double A title and it's something they've been working for for quite a long time.

"Well back in January actually." said Pioneer head coach Tom Harmon, "You put the time and energy into it and you want to be able to finish it. So, we're kind of right here at the summit and trying to get the rest of the way to the top. Hopefully our kids understand the gravity of the situation and go out and play well."

Wayne will defend it's title Friday night against Keyser. Kickoff set for 7:30 at Wheeling Island Stadium.
