West Virginia State fell to Concord Thursday night, 68-60 in the Yellow Jackets home opener.
State trailed by as many as 20 points in the second half before a Yellow Jackets rally pulled them to within striking distance in the
closing minutes.
But it was too much Concord.
West Virginia State's rally came up just short though as the visiting Mountain Lions (4-1)held on for a 68-62 win.
Austin Hutchins and Kendrick Ward each had 14 points while David Ford pulled down 13 rebounds to lead the Jackets (3-3).
