Huntington Christmas parade winds through downtown

Posted: Updated:

The streets of Huntington were lined with hundreds of spectators on Thursday night for the annual Christmas parade.

The parade stepped off at 7 p.m. and wound its way through the downtown area. High school marching bands, floats, community groups and others took part. Santa and Mrs. Claus sat atop a big sleigh as the grand finale.

WOWK 13News teamed up once again with the U.S. Marine Corps to collect new, unwrapped toys along the parade route for the annual Toys For Tots campaign.

If you weren't able to attend the parade, you can still donate to the drive. Between now and December 7, you can drop off new, unwrapped toys at Ashley Furniture locations in Barboursville and South Ridge, Huntington Banks locations, All Med, Ponderosa in Elkview and the Brickstreet Insurance office in Charleston.
