LEWISBURG (AP) — Greenbrier County authorities say a third person has died of injuries sustained in a car crash in Organ Cave.

The sheriff's office says 29-year-old Jason M. Hoke of Union died Thursday at a Charleston hospital. Hoke was the driver of a 1997 Nissan Maxima that left the road and hit a tree on Nov. 24.

The Register-Herald reports that 30-year-old Dallas Nick Morgan Jr. of Ronceverte died at the scene. A second passenger, 36-year-old Billy C. Hoke of Union, died later at a Charlottesville, Va., hospital.

According to sheriff's Cpl. G.R. Workman, witnesses said two vehicles were racing, and the second one left after the accident.
