Annual lighted boat parade starts tonight in Saint Albans

Posted: Updated:

The Great Kanawha River Navy and Lou Wendell Marine are celebrating the holidays with a lighted boat parade, starting tonight at 7pm.

The boats, which will be lit up with holiday decorations, will start at Lou Wendell Marine and travel all the way to the Patrick Street Bridge before turning back.

The P.A. Denny will be parading on the river tonight, too. The infamous boat made its way back from Parkersburg to join the festivities.

Our own WOWK meteorologist, Bryan Hughes will be aboard the Pearl Ann, enjoying the sights and the lights.

When the parade has ended, there will be an after-party at Lou Wendell Marine. Those interested are asked to bring a non-perishable food item as a donation for a local food bank.
