Participants put their best foot forward for a walk-run Saturday morning.

The 5K Jingle Bell Run to benefit the Arthritis Foundation took place in Southeast Charleston Dec. 1.

StormTracker 13 Chief Meteorologist Spencer Adkins along with reporter Alanna Autler were among the runners.

People had their reasons for coming out to support finding a cure for arthritis.

"We thought it was important, because my daughter was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis at 18 months old... She's now 6 years old and still fighting the disease everyday," said Lesli Wright, who attended the event.

Spencer Adkins and Alanna Autler both placed in the top 20 of that run.
