Athens County Sheriff's deputies have arrested two people during a traffic stop.
According to the Sheriff's Department, deputies Matt May and Alan Warren stopped a vehicle on State Route 33. The driver of the vehicle, Davis Schuetzman, 50, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
A sheriff canine indicated to deputies there were drugs in the vehicle. A search yielded pills and heroin. The passenger riding with Schuetzman, 25-year-old Samantha Hummel, of Columbus, OH, was arrested for possession.
Both were transported to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
