Posted: Updated:

West Virginia State Police are still investigating the circumstances that led to James David Marcum's death.

Troopers found Marcum's body in the Sarah Ann area along Route 44 in Logan County on Saturday.

Troopers said he had been electrocuted while trying to steal copper wire.

Cutting tools were found in the same general area as his body.

Investigators said they are not convinced Marcum acted alone. They are looking to speak with anyone who might have been with Marcum the night he died.

Marcum had been missing for a few days when his family filed the missing person report.
