A man who flew into a fit of rage and ran over a police officer has pleaded guilty to the crime.

On Monday, Larry Dangerfield pleaded guilty to one count battery and one county battery on a government representative during a hearing in Kanawha County Circuit Court.

Dangerfield's problems started in October 2011.  He ran over a Glasgow Police Officer and also assaulted a tow truck driver who was trying to repossess his car.

The officer was taken to the hospital with chest injuries and later released.

Dangerfield faces up to one year in jail for each count.

He will be sentenced on January 17.
