Police are tracking a suspect in Dunbar who's eluded authorities in the past.
The call went out on Monday evening for a police pursuit on Interstate 64 West toward Dunbar. The chase began at about 9:30 p.m. according to Kanawha County Metro 911 dispatchers.
The suspect, wanted on unknown warrants, was driving a truck and got off of the Dunbar exit. After that, police said that the man got out of the truck and headed out on foot. He was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and had dark hair according to dispatchers.
After a short foot chase, police said they lost sight of the suspect. They told us that this appears to be the same man who eluded them about two months ago during a similar chase in Kanawha County.
Authorities brought out K-9 units to continue the search. An investigation continues.
