A $500 fine and up to a year in jail, that's the penalty that 14-year-old Jared Marcum, who was arrested after refusing to change his NRA shirt, could face, now that a judge has allowed the prosecution to move forward with it's obstructing an officer charge against him.
Logan County, W.Va. was the scene of a standoff between W.Va. State Troopers and a man who locked himself inside his home.
According to the State Police detachment in Logan, troopers responded to a call in Whites Addition, just outside of Logan city limits, around 10:00 a.m. where John C. Watkins was threatening to commit suicide.
When troopers arrived at the home, Watkins came outside and fired a single round before going back inside.
A 911 dispatcher talked Watkins into leaving the home. Watkins was arrested by troopers and charged with four counts of wanton endangerment, one count for each trooper at the scene.
