The Scioto County man accused of killing his 10-year-old son pleaded his case on Thursday that he is not a murderer.
Brandon Wilson, 23, is charged with one count of murder for allegedly shaking his son to death in November 2012.
In municipal court testimony the detective handling the case said Wilson has changed his story several times. At one point the detective testified that Wilson told her the child fell off a couch. Later, that he may have fallen down the stairs. The detective said Wilson finally telling her that he shook the baby.
Wilson's defense attorney said this was just the pre-trial hearing and only the beginning of what could be a long case. "This is a terrible thing. People do get excited, but they have to calm down, let the justice system go through, and prevail, because the true facts will come out, especially at the trial," said Frank Gerlach.
Wilson's case will be presented to the Scioto County grand jury.
