The University of Charleston will celebrate its December
2012 Commencement Ceremony at 2 p.m. Dec. 9 in Geary Auditorium at Riggleman
Hall.
The ceremony will be broadcast live at www.ustream.tv/channel/decembercommencement2012
for anyone who is unable to attend.
The ceremony will feature 66 students, including 40
undergraduates and 26 graduates receiving master's degrees in business
administration.
Dr. Eric Persily, a graduate of Miami University, will serve
as the commencement speaker. He came to Charleston in 1993 to join General
Anesthesia Services, Inc. which provides anesthesia services to Charleston Area
Medical Center and Charleston Surgical Hospital. Persily also served in various
other leadership roles, including president of the West Virginia State Society
of Anesthesiologists from 1999-2000, member of the UC Board of Trustees since
2010, president of B'nai Jacob Synagogue from 2008-10 and as a board member for
General Anesthesia Services for the last six years.
