HUNTINGTON, West Virginia -

A local church had all its pews full today - full of food!

Unity Freewill Baptist Church in West Huntington is preparing for a rush of about three hundred people tomorrow morning at around nine o'clock.

They're putting together packages for families of different sizes. - Smaller bags for singles or couples - and big boxes for large families.

The congregation hosts this event once a month, but it's getting costly for the few people at the church that can afford to help purchase the food.

"There's not a lot, we don't have a lot of outside, it's mainly people from the church that have opened up their hearts and billfolds, and have kept it going for a year," says Pastor Scott Chandler, "but it's becoming more than we can handle on our own, but we'd still like to see the people fed."

Pastor Chandler is looking for donations of food and money.

To make a donation, contact the Huntington Area Food Bank.
