Portsmouth Police say they arrested Deborah Fouch, 56, Wednesday morning after court security officers scanned her purse and found a loaded .380 handgun.
Fouch was in the city building to make an appearance in court.
She was turned over to Portsmouth Police and is charged with felony attempted conveyance of a deadly weapon or dangerous ordinance in a courtroom.
