According to a news release sent to 13 News, members of the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force discovered a one pot methamphetamine lab in the basement of 1665 Eighth Street in Portsmouth, Ohio.
With help from the Portsmouth Fire Dept. detectives removed the lab from the residence and safely disposed of the contents.
Cynthia Fletcher Rowe, 31, of Portsmouth was arrested and charged with the illegal manufacture of drugs. Rowe also had a warrant for her arrest on charges of passing bad checks.
Rowe is being held at the Scioto County Jail and her bond has been set at $26,000.
Due to the discovery of the meth lab and the poor conditions in the residence the Scioto County Health Department has condemned the property.
