Road crews prepared for bad weather

Posted: Updated:

Storms may be on the way and highway crews are ready to keep you safe and roads clear.

West Virginia Department of Highways supervisor Scott Eplin says crews are aware that a possible winter storm may cause problems in our area and they are ready to go.

Eplin says they don't wait to act after a storm hits, but take a proactive approach by maintaining equipment and getting salt trucks ready to hit the road.

He also says due to expected high winds, crews will be ready to remove fallen trees if needed to allow them to keep the roads clear.

Eplin says they have plenty of salt and crews are ready to hit the road.
