A longtime mortgage officer and banker has been selected to serve as chairman of the North Central West Virginia Ad Hoc Committee, an industry-outreach group sponsored by the West Virginia Housing Development Fund.
Kurt Leachman, who works with City National Bank in Bridgeport, was appointed to his post during a recent meeting.
The committee, which hosts meetings in Charleston, Clarksburg, Parkersburg and Martinsburg, is a group of professionals from across the housing industry that network and shares ideas. Members include lenders, builders, real estate agents, appraisers, attorneys, non-profits, association members and government agencies.
Leachman has worked in the mortgage business more than 30 years in loan origination and management. He works as the government lending manager and mortgage specialist for City National. He also recently served as retail mortgage branch manager for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in West Virginia.
