The Great Outdoors Marine in Lavalette recently was selected as one of the Boating Industry's Top 100 Boat Dealers.

The organization behind Marine Five Star Dealer Certification also awarded The Great Outdoors Marine first place in Marine Industry Best Practices among North American Boat Dealers.

According to the news release, Best Practices are a part of the dealer certification process that recognizes thoughtful and cost-effective ways to do business while maintaining quality and eliminating variability.

The Top 100 award, meanwhile, recognizes boat dealers who are unsurpassed in overall business operations, facilities, customer service, marketing and professionalism.

The Lavalette marine was selected from more than 8,000 dealers in North America for this award.

The Great Outdoors Marine –which serves West Virginia, southern Ohio and eastern Kentucky – has been in business since 1991 and now has 16 employees.

It is the largest marine dealer in West Virginia and it specializes in pontoon and fishing boat sales and service on boats and motors.

"We at The Great Outdoors Marine are very thrilled and proud to receive this honor and will continue to work hard to improve our business and customer satisfaction, said owner Diane Daniel.
