Some residents of the Golden Living Center in Kanawha County were evacuated Sunday night.
According to dispatchers, the call came in just before 8 p.m. When crews arrived they didn't find flames, but saw heavy smoke coming from one of the wings.
Residents were evacuated from that wing as a precaution. Dispatchers say they believe the smoke to be caused by a heater or electrical malfunction.
No word on the number of patients being evacuated.
