Huntington police are investigating an armed robbery.
The clerk told police that a man entered the Marathon located at the corner of Eighth Street and Fifth Avenue just before 10:15 a.m. on Christmas Eve, and demanded the cash while showing a gun.
The suspect reportedly left the scene in a white Toyota with West Virginia tags, led police on a chase into Lavallette, and ditched the car behind an apartment building there.
Police searched the building, but did not find the suspect.
At about 2:30pm, police said the investigation "dried up," but they're confident that leads from tenants will help them find him.
If you have any information contact the Huntington police department or 911.
