LOGAN, West Virginia -

A Logan County group called Saving Animals from Euthanasia, or SAFE, is in urgent need of volunteers and foster homes for several pets. They also need volunteers to help with fundraisers.

SAFE is currently working to find homes for close to 60 dogs.

A pet owner in the county has agreed to allow the group to find homes for the animals to avoid having to take them to the Logan County pound, which is not equipped to handle that amount of animals.

If you are able to provide a foster home for one of the dogs or if you would like to adopt one permanently you can email logancountyanimals@gmail.com.

The group is currently posting some of the dogs on their Facebook page, which is listed as Logan WV Adoptable Animals.

SAFE also need donations to help with this rescue effort as well as their daily rescue efforts to find homes for animals at the pound.
