Gary McConihay recently was selected Frontier Communications' new environmental, health and safety manager for the company's southeast operations.
Based in Charleston, McConihay is responsible for implementing Frontier's safety program in West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Mississippi and Georgia.
In addition, McConihay will develop safety programs for specific locations.
McConihay worked most recently as a director and safety team leader for K-o-S Consulting in Ashland, Ky. Before that he was corporate safety director for more than 16 years at North American Industrial Services, based from the company's headquarters in New York.
He has a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in occupational safety and health from Marshall University.
