Carrie Scanlon now will coordinate Bordas & Bordas law firm's communications, community and media relations, and philanthropic efforts.

Scanlon has more than 15 years of experience in marketing, public relations and sales. In previous appointments, she has been responsible for grass-roots public relations efforts as well as award-winning advertising campaigns, special events and product launches.

A graduate of Bethany College with a degree in public relations, Scanlon also has a master's degree in communication theory and research from West Virginia University. She is pursuing a doctoral degree in communication media and instructional technology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. 

Scanlon has presented at national and regional communication conferences on public relations and the use of social media. 

A resident of Moundsville, Scanlon is an adjunct faculty member at Wheeling Jesuit University where she teaches integrated marketing communication courses. She volunteers as a YMCA swimming official and participates in community theatre as a cast member at Towngate.
