Huntington's police force will soon have four new officers in uniform.

Mayor Steve Williams along with police chief Skip Holbrook swore in four new police recruits at city hall.

The event was held in city council chambers filled with family, friends, and other Huntington police officials.

Chief Holbrook says the new officers increase the police force to 105.

The new recruits will go to the State Police Academy in Charleston on Monday to start a 13-week course.

Mayor Williams says he is proud to start his first week in office by increasing the number of new officers on the force to protect citizens.
