Deputies are combing a scene on Route 2, just north of Huntington, after a hunter made a startling discovery.
According to dispatchers, a hunter found a human skull near the Green Bottom area between the road and the Ohio River on Friday afternoon.
"This was in a close proximity to the Ohio River, so there is a close possibility that the remains may have come here by the river. At this point it's too early to say. We are in the infancy of this investigation," said Cabell County Sheriff Tom McComas.
