LENORE - UPDATE:

Donald Medley was found guilty at the Mingo County Courthouse Wednesday, May 7, on the charges of first degree murder and the concealment of a dead body.
The jury recommended life with mercy.  Medley's sentencing has not yet been set.

Medley's brother Gregory's trial date has not yet been set.

A woman's body has been found in her vehicle in the bottom of Laurel Lake and now two men are behind bars.

Sunday a dive team worked with West Virginia State Police to pull the SUV out of the water.

Evelyn Farnum, 55, went missing December 30. She was last seen at her house nearby on the Right Fork of Laurel Creek.

Investigators tell 13 News Donald Medley and Gregory Medley have been arrested in connection with Farnum's murder.

Troopers say Donald Medley confessed to Farnum's murder. Trooper say he admitted to striking her and choking her. Donald Medley has been charged with first degree murder, conspiracy and concealment of a deceased body.

Investigators say Donald loaded Farnum's body in her vehicle, called his brother Gregory, and then drove to Laurel Lake.

Gregory is charged with concealment of a deceased body and conspiracy.

Both men have been taken to Southwestern Regional Jail.

Emergency crews will search for the remains of a missing woman in Laurel Lake on Sunday, according to investigators.

Evelyn Joyce Farnum, 55, went missing on December 30.

On Saturday, investigators said they used sonar and were able to locate a vehicle in the lake.

Dive teams have to wait until daylight to search the lake.

Sources tell 13 News the entire case looks suspicious and that several people are being questioned in connection with her disappearance.
