The Lewis County Sheriff's Department and Scioto County Deputies recovered over $20,000 worth of stolen property Thursday night when they arrested three people suspected to be involved in a multi-state theft ring.
The arrests were a result of a long investigation into a number of burglaries and thefts that took place in October and December.
Police suspect that Joshua Stevenson, Dean Allen Cooper, and Aaron Howard were traveling to Ohio to trade stolen items, prescription pain medications and cash.
Deputies found a 2011 Polaris RZR with a trailer, stolen fire arms from Lewis County and several other items at a home on State Route 104, in West Portsmouth. They also seized $3,000 in cash and drugs at the home.
Additional charges are expected.
