The Kanawha County Public Library is celebrating picture books during a series of events at many of their branches in the days ahead.
They are making the 75th anniversary of the Caldecott Medal. The medal is awarded annually by the American Library Association to the artist of the most distinguished picture book for children.
The programs will highlight some past winners of the award. There will also be stories and art themed activities.
