The Kanawha County Sheriff's Department is investigating an armed robbery that happened Sunday night.
Deputies said a couple was robbed at the Cross Lanes Motel 6.
A woman, her boyfriend, and infant child were staying at the motel.
The victims said they heard a knock at the door. When they opened it, a male brandished a handgun and ordered them to hand over their valuables.
The woman said she gave her purse, $200, and her identification to the robber.
The robber got away in a maroon colored Oldsmobile Alero, according to deputies.
